Virginia oversize and overweight permits are issued by the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles, Motor Carrier Services, Hauling Permit Section. Single-trip permits are valid for thirteen consecutive days.
Permit approval depends on the proposed route, dimensions, axle weights and infrastructure conditions.
